# Everton: Toffees still interested in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot

**Everton are reportedly still interested in Adrien Rabiot as [Calcio Mercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/juve-rabiot-delude-ma-il-mercato-chiama-c-e-un-club-inglese-99398) have reported that the Merseyside club continue to chase him.**

Indeed, the Goodison Park faithful [reportedly](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-laud-interest-in-adrien-rabiot-as-pierre-emile-hojbjerg-alternative/) looked at the France international as a possible alternative to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the summer transfer window, but the Dane ended up signing for Tottenham instead.

### Rabiot impressed Ancelotti as PSG boss

The midfielder has played under Carlo Ancelotti before for PSG and he impressed the Italian when he was just 17 years of age as Ancelotti described him as ‘very skilful’, as per [Le10 Sport](https://le10sport.com/football/ligue1/psg-rabiot-la-derniere-surprise-signee-ancelotti70618).

Indeed, the 25-year old went on to play nine games in total for PSG in 2012/13 under the current Toffees coach, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adrien-rabiot/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/182913/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=523).

### Rabiot did well at Juventus last season

Rabiot did relatively well for Juventus in the 2019/20 season as he won 4.8 of his duels per match in Serie A, while he also averaged 1.7 tackles, 1.3 successful dribbles and 1.1 interceptions per game (via [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/adrien-rabiot/250737)).

### Would Rabiot fit in at Everton?

With the likes of Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Andre Gomes as central midfield options for Ancelotti, one may question whether Rabiot would be needed at Goodison Park.

\[freshpress-poll id=”308501″\]

The Frenchman is currently valued at £25.2m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adrien-rabiot/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/182913/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=523), and paying that kind of money for someone who may not be guaranteed to start for Everton would perhaps be a big risk.

Nonetheless, he is still at a good age and has demonstrated qualities in midfield that may suit Everton going forward.
