# Everton: Italian report reveals Moise Kean talks in next few weeks

**According to a report from [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/) \[via [Tutto Juve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/calciomercato/corsport-kean-la-juve-cerca-una-soluzione-per-il-riscatto-con-l-everton-592657)\], Everton are set to hold talks regarding the future of Moise Kean.**

### The lowdown: A turbulent spell

Signed on a five-year contract from Juventus in a deal worth a reported initial £25.1million ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49214067)), the 22-year-old has endured a difficult time since arriving on Merseyside.

Loaned to Paris Saint-Germain for the duration of the 2020/21 campaign, Kean netted an impressive [13 times in 26 outings](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/leistungsdaten/spieler/364135/plus/0?saison=2020) in Ligue 1.

However, having returned to Goodison Park, the [12-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/nationalmannschaft/spieler/364135/verein_id/3376) Italy star made a swift return to Turin for what is supposed to be a two-season long loan with an obligation to buy for £24million ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12961/12394075/everton-transfer-news-moise-kean-rejoins-juventus-on-two-year-loan-with-24m-obligation-to-buy)).

### The latest: Cut short?

The Italian outlet, [via Tutto Juve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/calciomercato/corsport-kean-la-juve-cerca-una-soluzione-per-il-riscatto-con-l-everton-592657), have claimed that Juventus ‘are not satisfied’ with the young striker and will be ‘looking for a solution’ with the Toffees.

Discussions are said to be scheduled for the ‘next few weeks’ with the Old Lady plotting to send Kean back to Merseyside and end his loan spell.

### The verdict: Career stalled

Upon signing, Everton supporters were rightly excited about landing a player who had already [made waves in Italy](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/364135) at senior and youth levels.

However, thus far it’s proven to be a disastrous move for a player recently [likened](https://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/psg-hero-pauleta-full-of-praise-for-everton-striker-kean-4358344) to Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Mauro Icardi by PSG ace Pauleta.

So far this season Kean has scored [five times and provided one assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/moise-kean/leistungsdaten/spieler/364135) in 31 appearances across all appearances – a far cry from the form shown in France that earned [rich praise](https://www.footballtransfers.com/en/transfer-news/fr-ligue-1/2021/02/pochettino-praises-keans-prolific-psg-form) from Mauricio Pochettino.

Still [under contract](https://www.evertonfc.com/news/1300376/everton-sign-striker-kean) at Goodison Park until 2024, Everton may be in no hurry to renegotiate with Juventus, so this could be one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
