# Exclusive: David Norris urges Leeds to sign another striker

**David Norris thinks Leeds desperately need to sign another striker this summer.**

Whilst Marcelo Bielsa has one of the most lethal frontmen at his disposal in Patrick Bamford, an injury to him will leave Leeds short in that department.

Bielsa did bring in Rodrigo last summer for a [club-record](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53914263) fee from Valencia, but he scored only [seven](https://www.transfermarkt.com/rodrigo/leistungsdaten/spieler/131505/plus/0?saison=2020) goals in the Premier League last term and was hauled off at half-time at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Tyler Roberts has also previously played up front, but only on a [handful](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyler-roberts/leistungsdaten/spieler/296986/plus/0?saison=2020) of occasions and has scored just [eight](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tyler-roberts/leistungsdaten/spieler/296986/plus/0?saison=ges) times in three seasons with Leeds.

Leeds have been interested in signing Argentina international Adolfo Gaich from CSKA Moscow, but [Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/calcio-estero/tmw-cska-mosca-per-gaich-c-e-una-proposta-del-leeds-ma-vorrebbe-tornare-in-italia-1567239) believe that the frontman would rather play in Serie A than the Premier League.

Both Bamford and Rodrigo looked out of sorts against Manchester United on Saturday, and Norris exclusively told **[The Transfer Tavern](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/)** that a striker needs to be on Marcelo Bielsa’s shopping list:

*“As far as signing a player to help Bamford, just in case, that’s something that’s going to be needed.”*
