# Exclusive: Fry insists Ramsey would enjoy his football at West Ham

**Aaron Ramsey could rediscover his best form by taking a pay cut and joining West Ham United, according to Barry Fry.**

Just two years on from making the switch to Juventus, the Italian giants are looking to offload the Wales international midfielder, with West Ham [reported](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Juventus/16-06-2021/calciomercato-juve-ramsey-titoli-coda-crystal-palace-west-ha-destinazioni-possibili-4102023987792.shtml) to be in pole position for his signature.

However, the former Arsenal man’s [reported](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47203118) £400,000-per-week wages could prove to be a stumbling block when it comes to finding a way out of Italy.

West Ham boss David Moyes is looking to bolster his squad after leading the Hammers into the Europa League thanks to a stunning campaign which saw the club break their record points tally in the Premier League.

It has been reported that Ramsey is among those Moyes is keeping a close eye on during the transfer window, although West Ham [could face competition](https://sportwitness.co.uk/west-ham-front-row-midfield-signing-moved-test-waters-time-club-come-end/) from Crystal Palace and Arsenal.

Peterborough United director of football Fry feels London Stadium could be the perfect destination for Ramsey.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: *“If Aaron Ramsey wants to play in the Premier League, he might think, ‘West Ham are on the up, it looks a lovely club which is run properly with decent people in charge, there’s a great manager and great team spirit. It looks as though they’re having a go and they want to get into the Champions League. I’ll have some of that’.*

*“I can understand the player wanting to come and if he does, he’ll have to take a cut. It would be worth taking a pay-cut because he would enjoy his football at West Ham.”*
