**In an exclusive interview with [The Transfer Tavern](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/), former Wigan Athletic and Derby County manager Paul Jewell has hailed Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s performances for Everton this season, amid interest from Man United.**

Calvert-Lewin is currently experiencing his [best season in front of goal](https://fbref.com/en/players/59e6e5bf/Dominic-Calvert-Lewin) as working under Duncan Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti appears to have taken the England international to the next level.

The 24-year old has been the subject of a [transfer enquiry](https://strettynews.com/2021/04/28/exclusive-man-united-prioritising-striker-following-approach-for-everton-star/) from Manchester United, who are on the lookout for a striker alongside Edinson Cavani, but Everton have reportedly slapped an £80 million price tag on their star striker.

Speaking on how good Calvert-Lewin has been this season and what he has been able to add to his game this season to make him a better striker, Jewell exclusively told **The Transfer Tavern**:

*“He’s been a revelation for Everton this season and I think a lot of that is down to confidence because especially for strikers, goals breathe confidence into them.*

*“Calvert-Lewin has added everything to his game this season, he’s quick, aggressive in the air and brings others into play. So yeah, he’s been terrific this season.”*

Everton still have an outside chance of qualifying for the Europa League as Ancelotti continues to turn the Toffees into a regular Premier League force.

The £20,000 per week striker managed to start the season in the form of his life as he netted [11 goals in his first 11 league games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dominic-calvert-lewin/leistungsdaten/spieler/306024) but since then he has only scored five more times in the league.
