# Exclusive: PL pundit drops huge Salah exit claim

**Former Premier League star Nigel Jemson believes that Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool in the summer.**

The Egypt international has emerged as one of the best players in world football during his time at Anfield.

Since arriving from Serie A club Roma, Salah has made [207 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/148455) for the club and has scored 128 goals, registering 49 assists.

Last season, Salah [scored 22 goals in 37 games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/148455) and already has three goals and two assists to his name this term in four games.

However, Jemson believes that the 29-year-old could well be sold next summer to finance a move for a player such as Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Salah’s current contract is set to expire in 2023 and he is valued by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mohamed-salah/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/148455) at £90m.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: *“I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Salah go at the end of the season.*

*“If they can get 100 million for him or something like that, and get a couple of players in like Haaland and somebody else, it might be good business for Liverpool.”*

Salah has won the Premier League, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup during his time on Merseyside.
