# Exclusive: Pundit wants Wolves’ Pedro Neto to follow Nuno to Spurs

**Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Paul Stewart has called for new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo to lure Pedro Neto to north London.**

Nuno was [named](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2021/june/nuno-espirito-santo-appointed-new-head-coach/) as Spurs’ new head coach last month and has gone on to welcome Atalanta goalkeeper [Pierluigi Gollini](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57954046) and Sevilla’s [Bryan Gil](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57934261) to the club.

The ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers boss has been linked with [raiding](https://talksport.com/football/912546/tottenham-wolves-transfer-raid-nuno-espirito-santo-ben-white-arsenal-brighton/) his former club for a host of players still at Molineux, including central defender Willy Boly and the 25-year-old Daniel Podence.

Meanwhile, Spurs have [entered the race](https://www.90min.com/posts/wolves-transfer-pedro-neto-liverpool-tottenham-interest) to acquire the services of exciting Portuguese attacker Pedro Neto, who is also attracting attention from Liverpool and Juventus.

Neto, who [joined](https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/first-team/20190802-exciting-portuguese-duo-join-wolves/) Wolves two years ago, scored five goals and added six assists in [35 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pedro-neto/leistungsdaten/spieler/487465/plus/0?saison=2020) last season.

Stewart would rather see Spurs spend a sizeable chunk of their transfer budget on 21-year-old Neto than plumping for Podence ahead of the Premier League season getting underway next month.\

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: *“He’s young but he looks to have that bit extra than a lot of players.*

*“For me, Boly and Neto would be far better than Boly and Podence. I think Neto is absolute quality.”*
