French football expert Adam White has told The Transfer Tavern that Serge Aurier is unlikely to return to PSG this summer.

The Ivorian left the French capital to join Tottenham in 2017 for £23m.

However, the right-back has never quite settled in English football and has often been in and out the team during his four seasons in north London.

And with Aurier's deal expiring next summer, he's been strongly linked away from Tottenham again and is one of several players on Fabio Paratici's transfer list.

In an interview with L'Equipe, Aurier hinted about wanting to return to PSG and reunite with former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, who replaced Thomas Tuchel earlier this year.

But PSG recently signed Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, which means he would only be back-up should he make the move to Parc des Princes.

With that in mind, White told The Transfer Tavern that he'd be surprised to see Aurier back in France:

"There was talk about Aurier initially, but Hakimi signing from Inter Milan has probably scuppured that to some extent.

"Aurier already has a slightly chequered history at PSG, and I personally think he's a bit of a liability, so it would be a surprise to see him sign for PSG now after Hakimi's arrival."
