# Expert provides Man United-Griezmann update

**Parked up at the bar in the Transfer Tavern, the Manchester United fans have been dreaming about the idea of seeing Antoine Griezmann arrive at Old Trafford, following [strong links](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/anotine-griezmann-manchester-united-transfer-news-luke-shaw-memphis-depay-a7532356.html) with the Frenchman of late.**

Having seen Paul Pogba touchdown at the Theatre of Dreams, the notion of his fellow fantastic Frenchman arrive has the United fans dancing on the pool tables as we speak. Undoubtedly one of the best forwards in the world, the 25-year-old would sure be a statement of intent.

Still, Sky Sports’ La Liga expert [Guillem Balague](https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/822403795271512064?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) has provided an update on the potential deal, much to the chagrin of our United-mad punters.

> There is NO agreement Griezmann/United at this stage. Do they want him? Of course. Has he decided on his future? Definitively not yet [pic.twitter.com/qWvVx5SFyg](https://t.co/qWvVx5SFyg)

He’s [stressed](https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/822403795271512064?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) that there is NO agreement in place over the former Real Sociedad man and, while the Red Devils [reportedly](https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/822403795271512064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) want him, he is not [thought](https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/822403795271512064?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet) to have yet made a decision on his future in the Spanish capital. It’s [previously been reported](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/anotine-griezmann-manchester-united-transfer-news-luke-shaw-memphis-depay-a7532356.html) the *Les Blues* ace would be open to a move to join best friend Paul Pogba in Manchester, though [Balague says otherwise](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/anotine-griezmann-manchester-united-transfer-news-luke-shaw-memphis-depay-a7532356.html).

After watching Pogba-gate being drawn out pretty much throughout the summer of 2015, the United fans in the Tavern reckon this could be too.
