# Rangers: Fans love Alfredo Morelos’ Colombia display

**Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was in action for Colombia early on Wednesday morning.\**

Los Cafeteros were in action against Chile in the second game of the South American World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign. After their comfortable win against Venezuela on Saturday, they drew 2-2 against Chile.

24-year-old Morelos, who signed for the Gers for [£1.08m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/profil/spieler/338962) in 2017, only came on from the bench, just as he did against Venezuela, but he ended up having a big contribution. It was his control in the box that allowed Johan Mujica to shoot towards Radamel Falcao, who tapped into an empty net.

Now, he has a race on his hands to get back to Scotland for this week’s Old Firm clash against Celtic. However, the [Rangers](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-news/) fans were delighted with Morelos’ ‘[fantastic](https://twitter.com/EHDMJU/status/1316280520922333184)‘ international display, and they took to Twitter to share their praise.

> Look at the level of players he is playing beside, that can only help him and encourage him to continue to get better.
