# Rangers: Fans delighted as Alfredo Morelos shared image of Glasgow return

**Alfredo Morelos could have a big role to play this weekend in Glasgow Rangers’ first Old Firm clash of the season.**

Morelos has had a rocky few months at Ibrox. He looked set to depart during the summer, with him reportedly [agreeing personal terms](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-transfer-rumours/glasgow-rangers-alfredo-morelos-reportedly-agrees-to-join-ligue-1-side-lille/) with Lille, whilst he was also left out of the starting XI for [three consecutive games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962) by Steven Gerrard. However, he ultimately stayed put and cannot go anywhere until at least January.

During this international break, the 24-year-old has been away with Colombia, and there were [concerns](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/alfredo-morelos-faces-lengthy-rangers-22782289) that he may struggle to get back in time for the Celtic clash. However, he made sure he got back in double-quick time, [sharing a photo of Instagram](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/6164316/rangers-alfredo-morelos-celtic-instagram/) of his arrival in Glasgow on Thursday evening.

The picture delighted plenty of Rangers supporters, who took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the subject – one fan says his timely return to Scotland is a “big boost”.
