# Liverpool: Fans fume at latest January transfer claim

**A number of Liverpool supporters are fuming after a fresh report claimed that the Reds are unlikely to make any new signings in the January transfer window.**

Jurgen Klopp’s side have suffered a disappointing run of form, failing to win any of their last three Premier League matches against Tottenham, Leicester City and Chelsea, leaving them [11 points behind](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table) leaders Manchester City and arguably out of the title race.

Liverpool have arguably looked a tired outfit in recent weeks, with [the pandemic striking down](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/sperrenundverletzungen/verein/31) a number of players and other individuals currently out [injured](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/sperrenundverletzungen/verein/31).

The Reds’ decision to [only sign Ibrahima Konate](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/transfers/verein/31) last summer may be having a negative impact now, and some will no doubt want new faces to arrive in January, especially with [three players away](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/naby-keita-sadio-mane-and-mohamed-salah-chasing-afcon-glory) on Africa Cup of Nations duty, including [23-goal top scorer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/leistungsdaten/verein/31) Mohamed Salah.

However, according to the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jurgen-klopp-could-finally-unleash-22637711) \[via [Anfield Watch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1478334384642142209?s=20) on Twitter\], no new signings are expected to come in this month, with Klopp making do with the squad that’s currently at his disposal.
