# Rangers: Fans slam Alfredo Morelos performance

**Things just aren’t going Alfredo Morelos’ way at the moment at Glasgow Rangers.**

There was a time when the Colombia international was undoubtedly Steven Gerrard’s star striker – [82](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/338962) goals in 151 matches tends to do that. However, it has been a turbulent few months for the 24-year-old at Ibrox. It looked like he would be on the way out of the club for much of the summer transfer window, with him even [agreeing personal terms](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-transfer-rumours/glasgow-rangers-alfredo-morelos-reportedly-agrees-to-join-ligue-1-side-lille/) with Lille. In the end he stayed put, although he did not escape the wrath of Gerrard, who kept him out of the starting line-up for [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962) successive games.

Morelos started the Gers’ latest match in the Europa League against Standard Liege last night. His side may have won 2-0 but the forward was a shadow of his best, winning just [two](https://www.sofascore.com/standard-liege-rangers/bXsbib) from 11 duels as he continually struggled with his first touch, losing possession [14 times](https://www.sofascore.com/standard-liege-rangers/bXsbib).

These supporters were far from happy with his display and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts – one even said he had “a touch like a baby elephant”.

### **Let’s see what they had to say about Morelos**

> Put Morelos on the bench for a period of time.

> Morelos needs to stop thinking he’s a playmaking number 10 and start getting in the box again. Sometimes looks as if he’s never seen a ball before.

> Superb if any goal is going to make us look silly then let it be that goal. Roofe was superb when he came on. He actually makes Kent a better player because he is everything Morelos is not. Morelos needs a long spell on the bench. His form is kevin kyle standards.

> Roofe starts from now on👍🏻 Morelos a wasted jersey just now.

> See what I’ve said from day dot about Morelos true. He’s nothing. Couldn’t stick a sticker in an album. Off it. There’s a baller Roofe. Beats three and as a proper switched on striker not opportunity driven finds a worldy. Fat man couldn’t and wouldn’t do that. Fact
