Chelsea fans may have forgotten about Thorgan Hazard’s spell at the club as a youngster.
Thorgan Hazard was an inexperienced teenager when he signed for Chelsea in 2012.
Indeed, winger was never tipped to be a star like his brother but he certainly had plenty of potential.
The Belgian was shipped out on loan to his home country and began to show why Chelsea would want him on their books. He enjoyed two impressive seasons at Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League before another loan move took him to Germany as he rocked up at Borussia Monchengladbach.
He only made one appearance for Chelsea’s Under-23s in what was the only match he’d ever feature in for the London club.
And, his value has reached a staggering £40.5 million (as per Transfermarkt) due to the amount of class he’s displayed during his time at Borussia Monchengladbach in recent years, as one of Europe’s best attackers.
After witnessing his rise to stardom since moving to Germany it’s safe to say that fans would love to have him back at the club and will be full of regret. Indeed, the Blues have made a number of mistakes in terms of letting quality players go, as Thorgan joins Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne on the list of players who have since turned into stars.
