West Ham United currently find themselves in a promising position to kick on into the top half of the table, while Crystal Palace will have their sights set on ensuring consistency.
The Hammers will still feel like they can secure a European spot in the current campaign if they manage to strengthen in the right areas in the January transfer window. Meanwhile, the Eagles have struggled with consistency up until now, so their next step would be to enjoy a positive run to help them climb up the table.
Interestingly, West Ham United will welcome Crystal Palace to the London Stadium this weekend, so we took a look at Felipe Anderson and Wilfried Zaha’s influence at their respective clubs.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
David Gold and David Sullivan pulled off a huge coup back in the summer months as they secured the services of Felipe Anderson for a club record £36 million fee, that could rise to £41.5 million.
The Brazilian has established himself as one of the best wingers in the Premier League this season, with an impressive five goals and two assists to his name so far.
West Ham United struggled to get the best out of some of their players towards the start of the current campaign as they failed to win any of their first four Premier League matches under Manuel Pellegrini, but Felipe Anderson was one of the players that really helped dig the Hammers out of a sinking hole.

Wilfried Zaha has established himself as one of the hottest topics in English football since joining from Manchester United back in 2015. The Englishman has proved to be a bargain gem as he signed for a reported £3 million.
Crystal Palace have relied heavily on the Englishman over the years, but he appears to be falling of the pace in the current campaign as he only has three goals and two assists to his name, which is disappointing for supporters as they’re used to seeing him provide match-winning contributions week in, week out.
TT GRADE: A-
When comparing these two, it’s clear to see that Anderson is enjoying the rub of the green at this moment in time, with Wilfried Zaha struggling to live up to expectations at Selhurst Park.
West Ham United will be delighted with the influence that the 25-year-old has had since joining from Lazio, as he continues to produce world-class performances in the side.
On the other hand, Crystal Palace will be hoping that they can get the best out of the Englishman before the January transfer window opens, with the vultures possibly set to circle.
Both players have already showcased their talents at times in the Premier League this season, but it’s Anderson who has produced more quality performances with a couple more goals to his name.
