While Man U slumped to yet another disappointing result at the weekend, Arsenal stormed to a 4-2 victory over Spurs.
The two clubs have had differing fortunes this season as Man U look like a team struggling for form and the players don’t look like they buy into what Jose Mourinho is trying to do. High profile signing, Alexis Sanchez joined the club in January in a swap deal with Mkhitaryan and so far the Chilean has been absolutely terrible.
While he hasn’t been superb for Arsenal, Mkhitaryan has looked the better of the two since the deal.
During his time with Borussia Dortmund, the Armenian had turned himself into one of the best attacking players in the league. In his final season with the German giants, he scored 11 goals while also creating 20 and had formed a devastating partnership with his now Arsenal teammate, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
He’s struggled to take his form into his career in England and has looked like a shadow of his former self. At the time of the swap deal, it looked as though the Gunners had got the better of the deal due to Sanchez’s poor form but just like most of his career in Manchester, the 29-year-old just doesn’t look anything close to the man that had been superb for Dortmund.
At his best, he has the ability to score and create goals but as of right now, it looks as though he’s completely lost his dynamism despite only being 29.
He may have a better season under Unai Emery but as it stands, he hasn’t had the best time at Arsenal.

The rumoured figures for Sanchez, have only added to what a ridiculous deal it was for Man U.
Since he’s joined Mourinho’s side, Sanchez has only scored four goals in 30 appearances and has largely been absolutely terrible. At Arsenal, he managed to score an incredible, 24 goals in 38 games while also providing 11 assists in his final season with the Gunners.
This season his downfall has quickened to such a rate that it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sold in the near future. He rarely gets picked in the starting XI and seems to have been shunned by Mourinho.
He’s only made five starts this season and much like many of the Man U players, he looks completely lost.

Both players haven’t exactly hit the ground running this season and as it stands, both clubs might already be looking to offload the two forwards. Due to the incredible financial package that Man U put together for Sanchez, Mkhitaryan wins this one. He hasn’t been spectacular but he’s been better than the Chilean.
