Manchester United have been rather dominant in recent times in the Premier League, while Liverpool have dropped off the pace but managed to regain some composure against Bournemouth.
The Red Devils will have their sights set on securing a top four spot in the current campaign, having come on leaps and bounds under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Meanwhile, The Reds find themselves in a promising position in the race for the Premier League title, with a win today taking them three points ahead of Manchester City.
Manchester United will welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford today in their next Premier League fixture, so we took a look at Marcus Rashford and Mohamed Salah’s influence at their respective clubs.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
Marcus Rashford has been simply sensational in the current campaign as he continues to spearhead Manchester United’s rise under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with 10 goals and eight assists to his name in all competitions.
It’s safe to say that he has the ability to turn any game on its head and he will play a crucial part at Old Trafford later on today, as Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been exposed at times recently.
TT GRADE: A-
Mohamed Salah has established himself as one of the world’s best since moving to Anfield. Indeed, he hasn’t exactly been at his best this season but he has still managed to produce an incredible 20 goals and eight assists.
The Egyptian international has come to the rescue on a number of occasions for the Reds in the current campaign and he’s currently the joint top-scorer in the Premier League.
He could prove to be the difference in what may be a rather close encounter in Manchester today, with a moment of brilliance possibly gifting Liverpool the three points they desperately need.
TT GRADE: A
When comparing these two, it’s safe to say that Mohamed Salah is currently a level above Marcus Rashford, despite his recent performances under Solskjaer, as the Liverpool man has been deadly in the final third.
Indeed, Rashford has been extremely impressive in recent months and is arguably one of the best attackers in the Premier League, but Salah has double the amount of goals and he’s shown that he can consistently produce goals at vital times, which makes the Englishman’s efforts look ordinary in comparison.
