Tonight, Tottenham play in the final of the Champions League, something almost inexplicable given they had just one point after their first three group games. They must, of course, have full focus ahead, but the journey has been quite remarkable. The drama has certainly added to their campaign. Should they go on to win, it would have to go down as one of the greatest Champions League turnarounds of all time.
So, let’s go back to Tottenham’s third group game. After going 1-0 down following Hirving Lozano’s strike just before the half-hour mark, goals from Lucas Moura and Harry Kane seemed to have turned the tie, before a late Hugo Lloris sending off and a Luuk de Jong equaliser spoiled the party. Just the single point after three games saw Tottenham all but out of the competition.
It’s fair to say the fans didn’t take it well.
Absolutely no chance

We won’t and we don’t deserve to. If you want see out games intelligently then we deserve all we get.

Like it or not @SpursOfficial are a club in decline, 3 transfer windows behind catching the likes of Liverpool and Man City, get used to it, it’s only going to get worse

Spurs have a weak mentality, no point denying it. You don’t lose/draw games from winning positions like we have done against Watford, Inter and now PSV in a short space of time when in total control of the game.

Spurs can still finish on ten points in Group B. They just need to beat PSV, Inter Milan and *checks notes* Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Ah… #THFC

So unprofessional from spurs tonight! A lot of answers needed! Absolutely embarrassing!

The response was clear – Tottenham had once again blown a lead and qualification to the knockout stages was now nothing but a fantasy. The stars aligned, however. How Tottenham managed to get out of the group will always be a mystery and how they’ve got to the final is even more unbelievable. Yet, here we are. What a night it’s going to be.
Tottenham fans, did you have any hope at all of this turnaround? What was your response to the PSV draw? Comment below.
