Adam Reach is currently enjoying his third season with Sheffield Wednesday after signing for the club on deadline day back in the 2016 summer window. The 25-year-old rose through the ranks at Middlesbrough and played six seasons with hometown club before agreeing to swap The Riverside Stadium for Hillsborough for a large Championship fee of around £5 million.

You can tell a lot about a player by the reaction of the fans of the club who have sold them, and Boro fans summed up Adam Reach when they sold him as they all seemed genuinely gutted to see him go and wished him well on his new challenge in Sheffield. Since then, the 25-year-old hasn’t looked back and has been a key man on both Carlos Carvalhal’s and Jos Luhukay’s Wednesday teams, making 110 appearances for the club.
The versatile wideman can be deployed as both a left-back or a left-winger and he has proven to be a key man at Hillsborough, with his recent goalscoring form proving incredibly valuable to his side. In his first two seasons at the club, he managed 85 appearances in the Championship and scored seven goals in those game, compare that to this season where he’s bagged four times in 14 games and you can see how his impact is growing.
If Sheffield Wednesday do go up anytime soon then there’s no doubting that Reach will have a big part to play in that. At the age of 25 he’s only going to get better and with his ability to score outrageous goals, like the one against Leeds United a few weeks back, the Owls have got themselves a very fine player in Adam Reach. All four of the winger’s goals this season have been belters from outside the box and the fans will be keen to see him score more of them as he continues to prove them to be right for getting excited over his transfer.
