He has been somewhat of a journeyman, to say the least, hasn’t he? Michael Hector joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the summer, with the move becoming the 15th loan of his career. It has been another move, though, where he has impressed as Hector has been a mainstay throughout the campaign in the Owls side.
Despite being a deadline day addition, the move did not exactly thrill some Wednesday fans, though, that may have been influenced by the image used to announce the deal.
Well he looks thrilled

On the other hand, though, some other Wednesday fans were more welcoming of the deal.

Although there was some initial scepticism judging by the thoughts of some fans following the move, Hector has sure proved his ability in his time so far in South Yorkshire. The 26-year-old’s reading of the game, knowing when to make the tackle and intercept is rather impressive and will have certainly bolstered the Wednesday backline. His ability to bring the ball out of the defence, driving into midfield and finding a pass is an added bonus to his game that makes him a very well-rounded centre-back.
Given his displays for Wednesday this season, it would come as no surprise if the club were to try and bring in Hector on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window.
