Transfer Flashback: Oliver Norwood to Sheffield United

Who needs Lee Evans when you have Oliver Norwood? Sheffield United’s midfield ace has been on fire this season following his move from Brighton and Hove Albion, which was made permanent in January.
Norwood has excelled for the Blades in their promotion-chasing campaign. The 27-year-old got off to a fine start for the South Yorkshire outfit with a goal and two assists in his opening three games and upon the announcement of his move, a lot of the Bramall Lane faithful were certainly excited.

Good luck with the new move Oli. A big crowd favourite with the Fulham fans and someone who played a huge part in our promotion to the Premier League. We wish you lots of success at your new club #FFC

However, some fans of Norwood’s previous clubs tried to dampen the mood regarding his signature.
Wouldn’t get too excited lads, can hit a long shot/free kick but that’s about it. Too much of a passenger player.

Other fans of his previous clubs were more supportive of the move and complimented his influence at their club.
Good luck Oliver Norwood. Thank you for everything and being part of our special squad which made us get to the promise land!! #bhafc

Was always great for us at #FFC so I think he'll fit in well with you guys. I certainly wish him well – a great team player.

Norwood has kicked on from his bright start and justified the excitement with his performances rewarded with a place in the EFL Championship Team of the Season.
He has played a pivotal role in United’s campaign so far and will need to continue to do so in the latter stage of the season to help towards the fight for promotion.
