Transfer Flashback: Tammy Abraham joins Aston Villa

Transfer Flashback: Tammy Abraham joins Aston Villa - Transfer Flashbacks

Aston Villa fans may still have nightmares to this day after failing to secure promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs last season. And, they failed to ensure consistency towards the start of the current campaign, but Tammy Abraham’s arrival soon made things better.

The Villans struggled to get the best out of their forwards last season and Lewis Grabban returned to Bournemouth in the summer, so supporters were delighted to see the Chelsea youngster rock up at Villa Park.

Tammy Abraham enjoyed a very successful time of things in the Championship at Bristol City as he produced an incredible 26 goals and four assists at Ashton Gate. But, never really managed to find his feet during his time on loan at Swansea City as he managed to produce just eight goals in 39 appearances.

The Englishman has surpassed expectations since rocking up at Villa Park as he’s found the back of the net 21 times in just 30 appearances this season. Fans have already warmed to the Englishman and will be praying that he can top off what has been an excellent season by taking them into the play-offs.

It’s safe to say that Aston Villa would find themselves out of the promotion picture if it wasn’t for Abraham as he consistently finds the back of the net. There’s no doubt he’ll be playing his football in the Premier League next season, no matter what happens at Villa Park, but fans will always admire him for all he’s done for the club.

Indeed, supporters won’t have enjoyed their side’s displays under Steve Bruce towards the start of the season but they’ll definitely be grateful for his brilliant decision to bring in Abraham.

Aston Villa fans, surely you never imagined Abraham would have this much of an impact?
