West Ham United, arguably, made one of their best deals in recent memory on 20 June 2018.
Lukasz Fabianski joined the Hammers on a three-year contract after completing a £7million move from Swansea City.
The Poland international was brought to the London Stadium as an experienced goalkeeper to try and help solve the problem the Irons have had over the years when it comes down to the position, with the likes of Joe Hart and Adrian having hardly excelled in the role prior to him.
Fans were delighted with Fabianski’s arrival when the news was broken on Twitter, with loads of fans flocking to the social media site to share their reactions to the news.
Here are just some of their immediate reactions to the coup…
Great signing! Well done #COYI

And, it would seem these West Ham fans were right about how good Fabianski would be for them, although many of them may have been surprised just how good he has been in between the sticks.
The Poland international has had to be on top of his game this season as he has been the busiest ‘keeper in the Premier League by some distance, which is all the more impressive considering where the club currently find themselves in the table.
With the club’s Player of the Year Awards on the 8 May 2019, it would not be a surprise to see the 33-year-old walk away with it at the end of the night as many have called for him to win the prestigious Hammer of the Year prize for a number of months already.
Despite his advancing years, West Ham appear to have finally found someone who can lead them to glory and prove to be a reliable figure between the goalposts, making that £7m fee they paid out for him last summer all the more a bargain.
