Crystal Palace shocked a lot of people during the summer of 2015 after they signed Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain.
After an unsuccessful stint with the French giants, the midfielder decided to return to England to reunite with Alan Pardew in a development that, unsurprisingly, left Crystal Palace supporters feeling ecstatic.

Under Pardew at Newcastle United, Cabaye went on to become one of the leading midfielders in the Premier League, enjoying an incredible 2011/12 campaign, before leaving for PSG.
During that season, the 33-year-old was absolutely brilliant in the middle of the park, retaining possession well while creating chances for his team-mates.
Based on that, even after his disappointing spell at the Parc des Princes, it was not hard to see why Crystal Palace fans were left drooling upon his arrival.
And in his first two seasons playing for the Eagles, Cabaye reached similar heights in a side that was probably much weaker than the Newcastle one he played in.
Cabaye’s final year at the club, however, was not as successful with the former PSG man failing to score a single league goal in over 30 games.
Even so, overall, Cabaye remains a fantastic bit of business done by the club with the Selhurst Park faithful having Pardew to thank for his arrival.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
