In the summer of 2016, Arsenal signed Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna as manager Arsene Wenger looked to bolster his forward options.
Perez arrived at the Emirates fresh off a campaign where he was able to score 17 La Liga goals leaving Arsenal supporters excited over his signing, as a result.

However, things did not go to plan for Perez with the Spaniard forced to settle for a bit-part role at the club before being loaned out back to his previous team Deportivio for the 2017/18 campaign.
Perez now finds himself at West Ham following his transfer from Arsenal during the summer, but again has ended up in an unfavourable position.
The 30-year-old has yet to start a Premier League game for the Hammers, and that is unlikely to change any time soon due to the form Marko Arnautovic, Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson are currently in.
That being said, Perez still has a lot of technical quality, something he often showed in his cameos as an Arsenal player.
The former Deportivio man has an excellent left foot and uses a good technique when striking the ball; he could still prove to be an astute acquisition for West Ham.
But as far as his time at Arsenal goes, Perez was a flop who failed to live up to the expectations of supporters.
Perez could not force his way into the team ahead of the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud and, ultimately, was a poor signing for Arsenal despite the club’s fans initially believing otherwise
