At last, Leyton Orient have returned.
The O’s completed their stunning turnaround under Justin Edinburgh and can now look forward to life back in the Football League, with good times on the horizon.
Orient have come a long way from the team that were poorly owned and relegated from the Football League in embarrassing fashion, but two years later from that traumatic episode the east London side are ready to rectify their demons and make a big return to League Two, and they have what it takes to dominate the division in the future.
With the likes of Macauley Bonne firing on all cylinders and Dan Happe and Josh Korma looking likely to be part of the first-team for the future, Edinburgh has the tools to build a team that can one day climb it’s way back up the football pyramid and recreate a legacy that was once held by Orient.
As well as having the current players to make waves in League Two, Orient have the reputation to bring in bigger names to the club to bring the east London team back to their former glories.
The club have already shown this season in the form of Jay Simpson, who despite his reputation in the lower leagues can’t even make it off the O’s bench. If Orient are able to use their pulling power and now stable financial power to bring in quality, big names, they will have no problem in strolling through League Two.
Leyton Orient’s relegation from League Two to the National League was one of the darkest moments in the club’s history, but now the side have the foundations to rebuild for the future and establish themselves yet again as one of the biggest teams in the division.
