Tottenham Hotspur will be completely focused on securing another three points against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday, with the Premier League title race still wide open.
Spurs have been absolutely dominant in Harry Kane and Dele Alli’s absence but the forward looks set to return to action this Saturday, which will come as a huge boost for the North London club.
Indeed, the Lilywhites should already have their sights set on a possible summer addition, as Mauricio Pochettino could do with bringing in attacking reinforcement.
Interestingly, Spurs reportedly (as per the Telegraph) wanted to sign Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Williams back in 2016, but they weren’t able to bring him to the English capital, so perhaps they should launch another swoop.
Williams was once dubbed (as per Marca, via Liverpool Echo) as the next Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and it’s safe to say that he’s certainly lived up to the hype in recent years as he continues to use his pace and power to great effect.
The Spaniard currently has nine goals and three assists to his name and he’s only 24 years of age, so he still has his best years ahead of him. The attacker managed to find the back of the net 10 times and provided eight assists last season, so it’s clear to see that he can provide valuable contributions on a regular basis.
One problem for Spurs at times has been support for Harry Kane, despite Fernando Llorente filling his boots at times, which is why a summer move for Williams would make so much sense.
Daniel Levy could complete Tottenham’s attack if he manages to seal a deal for Williams as he’s a versatile player who can operate out wide or at the pinnacle of the attack, and he has an electrifying amount of pace which has been a weakness of Spurs’ attack in recent years. Also, he has shown that he can score an impressive amount of goals and creates plenty of opportunities, so the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min would thrive in his presence.
