# Five wide men to potentially replace Gareth Bale at Tottenham

![](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/GB1-150x150.jpg)If rumours are to believed here at the Football Transfer Tavern, Real Madrid may just fancy launching an audacious £60 million bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale this summer.

Bale has once again caught the eye this season with a series of superb performances, and has now firmly established himself as one of, if not the most exciting talent in the Premier League.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has slapped a £60m price tag on the Welsh international’s head, which rules out virtually everyone bar Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid, with a move to the Spanish capital seeming the most likely.

Tottenham fans will not want to contemplate life without Bale, but should a £60m offer come in and Bale does end up swapping North London for Madrid, here is a look at five potential alternatives.
