Leeds United will be 'in the race' to sign exciting Club Brugge maestro Noa Lang during the January transfer window, according to transfer expert Dean Jones.

The Lowdown: Lang on the move?

The 23-year-old could leave Belgium soon, with a fresh challenge lurking in the wings.

Leeds are one of numerous clubs to have been linked with signing Lang, although his Brugge deal isn't set to expire until the summer of 2025.

The Dutchman has scored 30 goals and registered 29 assists in 101 appearances for the Belgian team, being hailed as the 'best player' in his league by analyst Filip Joos last year.

His impressive performances have earned him a place in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup, so he will be one to watch for Whites supporters in the tournament.

The Latest: Leeds 'in the race'

Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones claimed that Leeds would be back in for Lang once January arrives, although there will be lots of competition for his signature:

"They probably will be in the race when the time comes.

"But, Noa Lang’s got this global reputation, whereby probably 10, 12 teams are watching Noa Lang at the moment, just waiting to decide whether it’s time to push the button and actually go through with a bid for a player who’s got such potential."

The Verdict: Hugely exciting option

Lang may have had a quiet season in 2022/23 by his standards, only scoring twice in 12 Jupiler Pro League appearances, but he is someone who could be a revelation at Leeds.

His dribbling ability, quality and end product in the final third could make Jesse Marsch's side so much more potent, especially as he can excel both out wide and centrally.

Granted, Brugge may demand a hefty amount for Lang's services and lots of clubs want him, but he is someone with big long-term potential who may relish the prospect of shining in the Premier League.
