Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea are closing in on yet another agreement as a deal for David Datro Fofana enters the 'final stages'.

The Lowdown: Blues busy...

Graham Potter's side, with the backing of American business tycoon Todd Boehly, are reported to be getting very busy behind-the-scenes ahead of January.

Reports claim that they have sealed the signing of Vasco de Gama wonderkid Andrey Santos with RB Leipzig ace Christopher Nkunku also on his way to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023.

The Premier League giants, as reported by Romano, appear to be nearing another deal amid this plethora of transfer activity.

The Latest: Romano shares promising David Datro Fofana update...

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the reliable transfer journalist claims a deal to sign Fofana is in the 'final stages'.

The Molde star, according to Romano, could be on his way to west London 'very, very soon'.

“They already completed the Nkunku deal and he will be a Chelsea player in the summer.

“They will sign David Datro Fofana from Molde. The deal is in the final stages and it could be completed very, very soon.

“Chelsea are already preparing for the future, but Rafael Leao also remains a player they really appreciate.”

The Verdict: Great news...

Going by this latest update, Boehly continues to back Chelsea financially and a move for Fofana makes perfect sense.

The 19-year-old is yet another rising star within their grasp, and it's clear he is just that, having lit up the Norwegian top flight with 15 goals and five assists in 2022 alone.

Already capped for the Ivory Coast at such a young age, it's clear Fofana is one to watch out for, with Chelsea looking like they could add another exciting youngster to their ranks.
