Leeds United supporters are making all the noise in the Transfer Tavern after their side’s stunning start to the Championship season.

The Yorkshire giants missed out on a play-off spot last term following a wretched run to end the campaign, and their fans’ misery was compounded even further over the summer following Garry Monk’s resignation.

However, that news in May appears to be a distant memory now as new head coach Thomas Christiansen has come in and worked wonders thus far, leading the side to five victories from their opening seven Championship matches, while also drawing the other two.

The Whites picked up their fourth consecutive league win on Tuesday night by beating Harry Redknapp’s Birmingham City 2-0 at Elland Road, with goals from Samuel Saiz and Stuart Dallas securing the three points for Christiansen’s men, in turn propelling them to the top of the Championship.

Summer signing Saiz opened the scoring after just 17 minutes and although the Blues had opportunities to get back into it, an injury-time strike from second half substitute Dallas sealed their fifth win of the campaign, in turn keeping their sixth successive clean sheet.

And several Leeds supporters have taken to Twitter following their side’s ascent to the summit, and it’s fair to say that they are revelling in their team’s remarkable efforts so far this season…
