# Liverpool: Fans buzz over Franck Kessie transfer update

**Many Liverpool fans have been left buzzing as a transfer update emerged on Franck Kessie.**

Speaking on [Sport Mediaset](https://www.sportmediaset.mediaset.it/video/mercato/calciomercato-live_35784239-202102k.shtml) (via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-offered-complete-midfielder-huge-wage-packet-trying-take-advantage-contract-situation/)), journalist Claudio Ramondi has claimed that the Anfield faithful have already put on the table a personal offer for the AC Milan ace, offering him a ‘huge’ amount in wages.

However, there are ‘no signs’ that Kessie wants to leave the Serie A club, despite him only having a year left on his current deal at the San Siro.

Nonetheless, the Ivory Coast international would certainly be a statement signing, having just come off the back of scoring a crucial [goal](https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/kessie-gives-ivory-coast-a-2-1-victory-over-saudi-arabia/) in his country’s 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia at the Olympic games.

At club level in the 2020/21 season, he scored no fewer than 14 goals and made a further six assists in 50 matches in total over all competitions ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/franck-kessie/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/294808/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)), which are very impressive numbers for a central midfield player.
