Transfer insider Dean Jones has shared that Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have ‘big’ transfer plans for Liverpool in the summer.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones has shared that FSG have ‘big’ transfer plans for Liverpool next summer, if the right profile of player is available to them.
The journalist said: “I have heard that Liverpool intend to go big next summer if the right profile of player is there for them. I mean, it obviously makes sense given the start to the season they’ve had and the flaws that are starting to creep into this squad.”

Prior to today’s win over Manchester City, Liverpool were in the bottom half of the Premier League table, which suggests that they may need a refresh of the squad if they want to be competing at the top of the division again.
The Reds have been linked with major deals for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe in recent days, and if they can retain their Champions League status, the pair could be realistic targets for them in the summer if FSG are willing to splash the cash.
The owners have come under criticism for not backing Klopp enough in the transfer market compared to their top-flight rivals, so a marquee signing like Bellingham or Mbappe would be a real statement of intent in the summer of 2023.
