According to Goal, Fulham are now ready to make their move in a bid to complete the permanent transfer of Neco Williams from Liverpool.

The Lowdown: Bit-part player

The Welshman made the move to Craven Cottage on loan during the January transfer window after experiencing a serious lack of game time with the Reds, having only played seven minutes of Premier League football under Jurgen Klopp last season.

The 21-year-old shone during his short spell with Marco Silva’s side, and his performances appear to have caught the eye of some potential suitors, including Southampton and Nottingham Forest, who are both believed to be interested in a summer move for the talented youngster.

However, it now looks as though it’s going to be Silva and Co. who will be the first to capitalise on a possible deal for the right-back after a fresh update emerged.

The Latest: Fulham readying bid for Williams

In a new article published by Goal, it’s claimed that Fulham are set to ‘make their move’ for Williams, and are expected to ‘make an official offer’ for their target later this week.

The source continues to state that the defender is ‘ready to leave’ Liverpool in search of more regular first-team football, with the Anfield outfit looking to receive a fee in the region of £15m for his services.

The Verdict: All roads lead to Craven Cottage

If Fulham could bring Williams to the capital on a permanent basis, this would come as a huge boost to the newly-promoted club, who topped the Championship table with the Reds starlet as an integral part of their starting XI.

The 21-cap international made 15 appearances for the Cottagers in the couple of months that he was there, recording four goal contributions during that time, via Transfermarkt. He's also shone on the international stage, leading Wales boss Robert Page to say the youngster has hit 'another level'.

With Liverpool having recently signed Calvin Ramsay as a backup to Trent Alexander-Arnold in that right-back position, Williams’ exit is now inevitable, it’s just a question of where his next destination will be, and after a highly successful loan period, there’s a very strong chance that it could well be Fulham.
