# Fulham ready to move for Olivier Giroud

**[Fulham](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/fulham-fc-news/) are ready to move for Olivier Giroud in the summer if he becomes a free agent, according to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-fulham-ready-to-pounce-for-ex-arsenal-and-chelsea-star-olivier-giroud/).**

### The Lowdown: Attacking options

Marco Silva’s side have enjoyed a brilliant campaign so far in the [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) and booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday.

The club have scored [36](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) goals in [25](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) top-flight games but only have [two](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-fulham/kader/verein/931) senior centre-forwards on the books in Aleksandar Mitrovic and Carlos Vinicius.

Mitrovic has scored [11](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aleksandar-mitrovi%C4%87/leistungsdaten/spieler/51152) goals in 19 league games but has also suffered various injury issues this season, whereas Vinicius has just [one](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/carlos-vinicius/leistungsdaten/spieler/525287) goal in 17.

### The Latest: Transfer update

[FI reporter Pete O’Rourke](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-fulham-ready-to-pounce-for-ex-arsenal-and-chelsea-star-olivier-giroud/) shared a story on Tuesday morning regarding Giroud and Fulham.

He said that The Cottagers are ready to pounce if the striker fails to agree a new deal with AC Milan. The 36-year-old is keen on returning to London, but Milan are also confident of extending his contract.

### The Verdict: One to watch?

Giroud’s situation could well be one to keep an eye on over the coming months, with Fulham clearly keen on his services should he become available.

Hailed as an ‘[incredible](https://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/calabria-a-dazn-ero-sicuro-che-avremmo-vinto-lo-scudetto-giroud-e-un-campione-i-tifosi-del-milan-sono-i-migliori-al-mondo-481308)‘ striker by his team-mate Davide Calabria, Giroud has scored [11](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/olivier-giroud/leistungsdaten/spieler/82442) goals so far this season so he could be a shrewd addition to help Fulham build on a positive first year back in the Premier League.

The [World Cup winner](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/olivier-giroud/erfolge/spieler/82442) has proven experience in the Premier League with Arsenal and Chelsea, so he could be just what Silva needs to challenge both Mitrovic and Vinicius, so it’ll be interesting to see if he becomes a free agent in the summer.
