# Glasgow Rangers: Fans laud Alfredo Morelos after viewing Europa League compilation

**Ahead of Glasgow Rangers’ Europa League clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, when they will need to overturn a 3-1 deficit in Germany, the tournament’s official Twitter account [@EuropaLeague](https://twitter.com/EuropaLeague/status/1290268626520612865) posted a compilation of goals from ‘Gers striker Alfredo Morelos.**

The Colombian is the [joint-leading scorer](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/europa-league/torschuetzenliste/pokalwettbewerb/EL/saison_id/2019) in the competition proper, with six goals to his name since the beginning of the group stage last September. Those included a [double away to Feyenoord](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962) and the [goal against Young Boys at Ibrox](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/50672304) which ultimately took Steven Gerrard’s men into the knockout stages.

When the qualifying rounds are included, Morelos has hit 14 goals altogether in the Light Blues’ Europa League campaign in 2019/20. The first of those came 13 months ago in the first round of qualifying against St Joseph’s of Gibraltar. \[via [TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962)\]

One year on, substantial transfer speculation surrounds the 24-year-old, who has been strongly linked with a prospective £17m move to Lille (as per [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-rangers-advanced-talks-to-sell-morelos/)), while he has only scored [one goal so far](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962) in an albeit pandemic-affected 2020.

Despite his loss of form, many ‘Gers fans still championed Morelos in reacting to UEFA’s footage ahead of Thursday’s clash against Bayer Leverkusen:
