# ‘Get him out of our club, Mou’ – Man United fans turn on star after transfer twist

**Another summer, another David de Gea to Real Madrid saga… well, that’s what Transfer Tavern punters are predicting given recent reports surrounding the goalkeeper’s future at Manchester United.**

Indeed, the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/604776/Manchester-United-news-David-de-Gea-Jose-Mourinho) claim sources have told them that it’s “difficult not to be interested” in the La Liga giants from the player’s point of view, the [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-united-news-de-gea-12882656) are suggesting that the stopper himself is annoyed with Jose Mourinho’s comments that he was “sleeping” when he made a mistake vs. West Brom and the [Independent](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-latest-david-de-gea-toni-kroos-real-madrid-a7680096.html) have even gone as far as to say that the club might accept a swap offer from Los Blancos involving Toni Kroos.

It’s all pointing towards another episode like the one in the summer of 2015 when De Gea’s much talked about transfer to Real fell through at the last minute, only this time it’s hard to see it all ending with the player still at Old Trafford.

Although last time all Man United fans were begging him to stay, it seems that the tide has shifted somewhat, with quite a few on Twitter frustrated to the point that they would not mind seeing the back of the 26-year-old…

> Wouldn’t be surprised if De Gea left much like Ronaldo did. I’d expect he’d cost £50-60 million and I’d go for Butland to replace him.

> [@ManUtdUpdates\_](https://twitter.com/ManUtdUpdates_) [#MUFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/MUFC?src=hash) then leave and get this over with. Every year this time he is unhappy with the manager and then he is linked to Real.

> [@SchoolboyQ\_II](https://twitter.com/SchoolboyQ_II) [@ManUtdUpdates\_](https://twitter.com/ManUtdUpdates_) I’m actually almost at a point where I want De Gea to leave. I don’t want players in the squad that doesn’t want to be here.

> [@ManUtdUpdates\_](https://twitter.com/ManUtdUpdates_) If this is true I’m getting fed up with De Gea, it’s been 2 or 3 years of egg shells with him, if he wants to go just let him!

> Apparently De Gea is being dropped because his head has been turned by Real Madrid. The saga has gone on long enough. Bye Dave & thank you.
