# Glasgow Rangers: Kris Boyd slams Alfredo Morelos’ performance at Livingston

**Kris Boyd has demanded that Alfredo Morelos show more respect to his Glasgow Rangers teammates following his performance against Livingston on Sunday.**

The Light Blues’ [three-match](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/teams/rangers/scores-fixtures) winning run in the Premiership was brought to an end at the Tony Macaroni Arena as they only managed a 0-0 draw, and Morelos will have been disappointed with his display overall – he managed [five](https://www.sofascore.com/livingston-rangers/bXsgX) shots but not one of them troubled Max Stryjek in the opposition goal.

Speaking after the match, Boyd was critical of the 24-year-old. He [said](https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/18655018.ex-rangers-striker-kris-boyd-takes-aim-moody-morelos-slams-uninterested-hagi/):

> *“I’m fed up with everyone telling me Alfredo Morelos is back scoring goals.*

> *“Listen, I get the fact you’re not happy being taken off but you’ve got to show respect to your teammates.*

Boyd is correct – Steven Gerrard and the ‘Gers need more from their star striker. His future remains up in the air, with him [reportedly](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-news/gers-alfredo-morelos-17m-sale-close/) having agreed terms with Ligue 1 side Lille, but at the moment he still plays for the 54-time Scottish champions.

Previous reports have suggested that the ‘Gers want [£20m](https://www.teamtalk.com/news/steven-gerrard-alfredo-morelos-warning-rangers-lille) for Morelos, but displays like this will do little to convince other clubs that he is worth so much, and his attitude when leaving the pitch will not help either – he walked off at the nearest point upon being substituted rather than speaking with team-mate Cedric Itten, who came on in his place (as per [Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/kris-boyd-accuses-alfredo-morelos-22531144)).

Until he leaves the club, he must give his all and must not forget how the ‘Gers have given him the opportunity to be in contention to a switch to one of Europe’s [top five leagues](https://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/country/#/yr/2020), having taken a [£1.08m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/transfers/spieler/338962) punt on him from HJK Helsinki three years ago.
