# Glasgow Rangers: Fans fume as Lewis Ferguson reacts to ‘Gers interest

**Glasgow Rangers have already been busy ahead of the 2020/21 season by signing [Ianis Hagi](https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-sign-ianis-hagi/).**

After impressing Rangers during his loan spell with the club before the Scottish Premiership was brought to a premature end, the Romania international has agreed to join the ‘Gers on [a permanent deal](https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-sign-ianis-hagi/).  The 21-year-old scored [3 goals in 12 games](https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-sign-ianis-hagi/) for the 54-times Scottish champions, including a double against Braga in the Europa League.

Steven Gerrard hasn’t stopped there, as the Light Blues announced [Charlie Lindsay](https://rangers.co.uk/news/academy-news/rangers-sign-charlie-lindsay/#:~:text=RANGERS%20are%20delighted%20to%20announce,Alkass%20tournament%20earlier%20this%20year.) and [Calvin Bassey](https://twitter.com/RangersFC/status/1269308175892844544) will also be moving to Ibrox, with the latter agreeing to join the club from Leicester City on a four-year contract.

Gerrard has made it clear he wants to bring in a whole bunch of [new signings](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5602723/rangers-transfer-raid-lewis-ferguson-lyndon-dykes/), as he bids to stop Celtic from winning ten in a row. The former Liverpool star is ready to [raid Aberdeen](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5602723/rangers-transfer-raid-lewis-ferguson-lyndon-dykes/) for Lewis Ferguson.

The midfielder has a long history with the club, as [his father and uncle](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5602723/rangers-transfer-raid-lewis-ferguson-lyndon-dykes/) played in front of the Copland Stand for many years.

However, Ferguson has recently dismissed Gerrard’s interest. Speaking to [The Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5688717/rangers-link-wont-tempt-ferguson-quit-aberdeen/), the youngster claimed “my full focus is on getting back to training with Aberdeen and playing next season.”

The 20-year-old has made 61 appearances for the Dons, scoring 7 goals in the league at the time of writing (via [Soccerbase](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=108564)).

He is currently valued at £1m via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lewis-ferguson/profil/spieler/428563), but it is likely Aberdeen will place a hefty price tag on his head after he was named [the Double Tree By Hilton SFWA Young Player of the Year](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5688717/rangers-link-wont-tempt-ferguson-quit-aberdeen/).

Unsurprisingly, lots of RFC fans didn’t take too kindly to his rebuttal, with a supporter claiming he is “not good enough,” while another added Greg Docherty is “better” in light of [his performances](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=69286) this season. One fan countered that while he might be a good player, the asking price will be “bonkers.”
