# Glasgow Rangers: Leeds eye Harry Wilson, could end their interest in Ryan Kent \[Opinion\]

**According to the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-make-harry-wilson-decision-18868198?_ga=2.15793526.1797160613.1599042493-2047470710.1542638051), Leeds United are now interested in Liverpool’s Harry Wilson, would could spell the end of their pursuit of Glasgow Rangers’ Ryan Kent.**

The Whites have been continually linked with a move for Kent – they have already had a bid of [£10m](https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2020/0821/1160496-rangers-reject-leeds-l10m-bid-for-kent/) rejected – but so far they have been unable to agree a fee with the Ibrox outfit for the winger.

As such, they could well turn their attention to Wilson, who they are believed to be eyeing. The Reds are reportedly looking for £20m to let him leave Anfield permanently.

In terms of Leeds’ interests, Wilson would be a good alternative. He has Premier League experience, impressing with Bournemouth on loan last term as he scored [seven](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/279455) goals in 30 matches despite the Cherries being relegated, whilst he is also a [17-time](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/nationalmannschaft/spieler/279455/verein_id/3864) Wales international.

For Steven Gerrard, though, this could be seen as a huge victory. Kent has started the campaign in fantastic form for the ‘Gers, scoring [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-kent/leistungsdaten/spieler/279457) goals and providing two assists in six Premiership games, and he is clearly one of the Light Blues’ most dangerous attacking outlets.

He cannot afford to be sold, which is why that previous eight-figure bid was rejected. Fortunately, it may be that Leeds have accepted defeat in their pursuit of Kent and are now looking elsewhere.
