# Glasgow Rangers: Leeds prepare £15m Ryan Kent bid

**As per The Daily Star, Leeds United are considering whether to make a [£15m](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/celtic-eye-9m-liverpool-striker-22583819) bid for Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent, despite signing Rodrigo for [£27m](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/valencia-leeds-27m-rodrigo-deal/17wviswnvjpzf1ik8wvr562ye0) from Valencia.**

The Whites are set to sign Spain international Rodrigo, but that hasn’t cooled their interest in Kent.

They have already had a [£10m](https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2020/0821/1160496-rangers-reject-leeds-l10m-bid-for-kent/) bid rejected for the 23-year-old, and they are now reportedly looking to increase that by 50%.

The signing of Rodrigo will take the newly-promoted Premier League side’s spending to [over £50m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leeds-united/transfers/verein/399) this summer, but they appear to be showing no signs of slowing down as they eye Kent, with another £15m taking their expenditure up to £65m+. That, though, will not be good news for Steven Gerrard, who will be desperate to keep one of his star players.

After all, he has already scored [three](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-kent/leistungsdaten/spieler/279457) goals in his first five matches of the season, and with an average WhoScored rating of 7.84 he has been [one of the Gers’ best players](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/306/Show/Scotland-Rangers) during this opening few weeks. If he were to depart, it would leave a big hole on the left side of Gerrard’s attacking trio – the 54-time Scottish champions must do all they can to keep the Yorkshire side’s hands away from the Oldham-born man.
