# Global superstar identifies Arsenal as his dream summer destination

![Ibrahimovic](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/4593257-500x358.jpg)Arsenal fans can’t quite believe what they’re hearing today in the Transfer Tavern but they’ve reserved a bottle of bubbly just in case the latest reports they’ve read are genuine.

[*The Telegraph*](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/03/10/zlatan-ibrahimovics-future-at-psg-may-depend-on-cristiano-ronald/)[says](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/03/10/zlatan-ibrahimovics-future-at-psg-may-depend-on-cristiano-ronald/) that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has privately admitted that Arsenal is the club he’d like to join this summer, with the Swedish legend set to leave Paris Saint-Germain upon the expiration of his contract.

34-year-old Ibrahimovic is expected to enjoy a final season in Europe before jetting off to the MLS and [the Premier League is a likely destination](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/03/10/zlatan-ibrahimovics-future-at-psg-may-depend-on-cristiano-ronald/), with Ibrahimovic already having experience in Italy, France and Spain.

Whilst a host of clubs will be keen on the signature of one of Europe’s deadliest finishers this summer, the news that he would prefer a move to Arsenal has surprised many in the bar- but the fans are adamant the Gunners should get this deal over the line.

It would only be a short-term deal for the veteran striker, likely to be just one-year, but our landlord feels he’d provide a massive impact to the Gunners and it would be a major statement of intent from Arsene Wenger.
