# Go on Mou! 2 serious reasons Man Utd need to seal this £34m-rated ace in the summer

**Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United side are having a strange old season so far, winning the League Cup, but seemingly falling short of breaking into the top four.**

The Red Devils fans over at the pool table here in the Transfer Tavern have been having plenty of discussions over the course of this week, and one big topic is about summer recruitment.

United are expected to once again spend big in the transfer market, and following last summer’s capture of Paul Pogba, more big names could follow.

One player who Mourinho could look to sign is Dortmund star Marco Reus, who is [valued at around £34m, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marco-reus/profil/spieler/35207)

The exciting German is one of the top talents on the continent, and our landlord thinks he could be a top signing for United.

Here’s TWO reason why Mourinho should look to seal a deal for Reus this summer…

## World class talent

If there is one thing required to play for Man United and make a difference, it is top level ability. Reus is exactly that.

The German is a threat in numerous positions, and Mourinho would love nothing more than to welcome a player like this in to Old Trafford.

The World Cup winner would bring a pace and quality to the attacking play of United, and would slot in perfectly.

## A player entering his prime

While Mourinho is not averse to signing ageing players, the signing of Reus, who is now 27, would representing investing in a player who should be entering his prime.

Reus has been tremendous for both Germany and Dortmund over a number of years now, and with arguably his best three or four years ahead of him, Mourinho could well have one of the worlds best on his hands as he looks to seal Premier League and European glory once more.
