# ‘Gutted we ever let him go’ – Man United fans deliver verdict on seemingly imminent striker move

**Though the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have already been treated to a major signing on the striker front, another deal has got them talking tonight.**

Indeed, £75m Romelu Lukaku looks to have made a decent start to life with the Red Devils, though it’s the idea of a former Old Trafford favourite returning to these shores has sparked debate amongst our United-mad punters.

West Ham United are [reportedly](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40669333) closing in on a move for Javier ‘Chicarito’ Hernandez, a former fan favourite at the Theatre of Dreams. The Mexican marksman, who won two Premier League titles during his five-year stint with the Red Devils, looks set to join the Hammers.

A hugely popular figure, United fans have taken to Twitter to deliver their verdict on this move.
