# ‘He’d look a mug in the Prem’ – Newcastle fans react to latest player suggestion

**Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for the end of the season as they genuinely think they are going to get promoted now.**

Indeed, you’d be hard-pressed to find a reason why the Magpies aren’t going to go up this season, even if Brighton pip them to the title, as the sides behind the pair look just a little too far off to reel them in.

The summer, then, is going to be crucial for the club in terms of strengthening ready for a top flight return and whilst players will surely come in, there is a debate over whether Aleksandar Mitrovic will stay.

Indeed, as suggested by Lee Ryder for [Chronicle Live](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aleksandar-mitrovic-handed-one-last-12882344), the young Serbian striker has one chance left to really prove himself in the north-east before the end of the season.
