# Internazionale: Many fans were appreciative of the team’s defensive performance

**Internazionale put in a brilliant performance as they beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 and were fully deserving of their clean sheet.**

They ended up making a total of 21 tackles during the game, while they also won more aerial duels than the German outfit, as per [**WhoScored**](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1426957/Live/Europe-UEFA-Champions-League-2019-2020-Inter-Borussia-Dortmund).

Effort such as this meant that Dortmund were limited to just five shots, which is the lowest number Inter have conceded in a Champions League game since [**Opta’s**](https://twitter.com/OptaPaolo/status/1187116340395552775) records began:

Upon reading this, as well as having watched the game for themselves, many Inter fans were thrilled with their team’s performance during the 90 minutes.

Antonio Conte will also be satisfied with this level of defensive solidity, as the performance came a matter of days after he was [**left furious**](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/serie-a/inter-milan/inter-antonio-conte-was-furious-with-his-players-despite-beating-sassuolo/amp/), following the Sassuolo game in which his side nearly surrendered the three points by conceding three goals.
