It would be fair to suggest that Everton need to look at bringing a new striker to Goodison Park when the January transfer window opens.
Marco Silva has made improvements to his squad and they appear to have been benefiting from his arrival, although concerns up front must still remain.
Despite having Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse in the ranks as recognised centre-forwards, the Toffees have seen Richarlison deployed as the frontman on more than a handful of occasions.
In truth, both appear to be out of favour with Silva at the helm and speculation has continued to be rife about their futures at Goodison Park in recent months, with transfer rumours about switches to Turkey both having been touted for the pair.
With that in mind, Everton should look to use the winter as their ideal chance to pick up a man that could finally end the wait of trying to replace Romelu Lukaku.
And, Emiliano Sala could be considered to be that striker that will give them a great chance to forget about the Belgian.
The Argentine is thought to available in January, with Nantes resigned to the fact that he has a number of suitors keen on him.
The 28-year-old, who Transfermarkt have valued at £12.6million, has been red-hot for the Ligue One side this season, having netted 12 times in his 15 top-flight games so far.
With a player like Sala as the focal point of the Toffees team, Silva’s side could have someone that could help to fire them back into European competition.
