Introducing: Giovani Lo Celso, a potential hit at Tottenham - Introducing

Adding a playmaker to the ranks this summer would not be such a bad idea for Tottenham Hotspur.

Christian Eriksen could certainly do with some help in the team, as he is often left with the pressure on his shoulders to come up with the creativity and inventiveness, as Spurs do not really have anyone else that they can turn to at the moment.

But, Giovani Lo Celso is a man that they could look to turn to in the transfer window as it would seem that he will be made available for the right price; however, Mundo Deportivo are claiming that fee is expected to be a figure north of €60million (£52.8m).

The Real Betis playmaker has been outstanding for the La Liga outfit since arriving on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last summer and it was no real surprise that they turned his move into a permanent one for just €25m (£22m)… That’s some profit for the Spanish outfit!

However, Daniel Levy should forget about that high transfer price as Lo Celso has all the potential to provide Tottenham with plenty of success; whilst there could be every chance that he could be sold for profit in the future if he continues to get better.

The 23-year-old has bundles of ability going forward, with goals and assists in his locker and still has plenty of potential as he is not quite yet the finished article – something that Mauricio Pochettino could work his magic with.

He scored 16 goals and provided his team-mates with six assists this season as Betis finished in a mid-table position. That’s not bad going for a player of his age!

Also, the Argentine would offer plenty of versatility to Spurs in the midfield areas, creating the manager a number of additional options in trying to accommodate all the quality players he already has, whilst he has the ability to weave past defences and cause problems in the final third of the pitch.

Defensively solid as well, Lo Celso has the ability to spray the ball out wide with some quick passing and that can really suit the style of play fans have become accustomed to at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The South American seems to tick all the boxes, so Levy must not be put off by such a high transfer fee and get a deal over the line this summer.

Tottenham fans, do you think Lo Celso is the type of player the club needs moving forward? Let us know below!
