Tottenham have a lot to look forward to at the moment; they are moving into a state-of-the-art new stadium, they have one of the best managers in the Premier League, and have one of the youngest squads.
While this is clearly enough to leave Spurs fans very excited, there is still more due to their conveyor-belt academy that seems to be churning out one star after another. In recent years the academy has seen figures such as Harry Kane and Harry Winks progress to become stars at Tottenham, and even on the global stage.
The good thing for the fans is that there is another player that is showing a lot of promise, and that is Kazaiah Sterling. The 20-year-old is starting to turn heads at Tottenham after displays for the under-23 side. He managed eight goals in 20 appearances for them last season, and has one in four games this term. Indeed, his good form last campaign saw him earn his first appearance for the first team in the Champions League, something he is yet to add to.
What will fill Tottenham fans with the most optimism is that the striker seems to be the opposite to Kane, and therefore his perfect deputy. Sterling possess lethal pace and dribbling, making him a real handful for any defender. These are perhaps the only traits that the England captain lacks.
Spurs have already seen this season the benefit of having a dribbler like Lucas Moura in the team, as it just gives the club an extra dimension in attack.
The Premier League looks to be a league where striker partnerships are starting to come back. Arsenal have deployed this approach this season, so have West Ham. Sterling looks to be the man to create an iconic partnership with Kane for years to come.
