Introducing: Jimmy Shan’s secret weapon, Kyle Edwards

It’s safe to say that Jimmy Shan has shocked everyone since taking charge at the Hawthorns as the Baggies have managed to secure two-straight victories over two tough teams.

Indeed, the 40-year-old could be about to write his own success story after witnessing Darren Moore’s heroic rise in management after taking interim charge in the Premier League.

And, it looks as if he may have already uncovered a secret weapon for the Baggies in the form of Kyle Edwards.

The 21-year-old is a product of the youth system and he’s been hugely impressive in the Premier League 2 this season, producing five goals and one assist in eight appearances. And, he’s even appeared in the Championship four times, two times in the FA Cup and three times in the Carabao Cup for the Baggies this season.

Kyle Edwards was drafted into the starting lineup for the Baggies’ Championship clash with Brentford last time out and he made an immediate impression as he scored the only goal in the match, which secured a vital three points.

So, with the youngster now full of confidence after scoring his first goal in the Championship it would make sense for Shan to give him a run in the side, especially after witnessing Rekeem Harper’s rise to stardom.

Edwards has the pace, skill, dribbling and finishing ability to cause teams all kinds of problems from here on in until the end of the season. The opposition won’t know what to expect when lining up against the youngster as he’s only featured in a small amount of games this season, so he could be the game-changer who holds the key to promotion.
